Graphic Designer

About the role

Gregson & Weight is seeking a thoughtful, capable Graphic Designer to join its team. The role uses creative skills to make clear, respectful and personalised visual materials that support families during an important time in their lives. The position is based in Caloundra, Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a varied range of design and visual content, including personalised funeral stationery and memorial materials.
• Create print and digital advertising, social media content, signage and internal communications.
• Contribute photography and video content, and assist with mobile livestreaming.
• Work across a range of computer programs and internal systems.

Required profile

• At least one year of professional graphic design experience.
• A current portfolio showing design work across print and digital.
• Experience in funeral care is not required.
• Excellent attention to detail, including accuracy in names, dates and written content.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Clear communication, a collaborative and reliable style, and a mature, emotionally intelligent approach to a sensitive industry.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign.
• Excellent computer literacy and confidence learning new software.
• Videography skills, including supporting mobile livestreaming (willingness to learn).
• Understanding of layout, typography, branding, print production and digital design.
