UX Designer (Digital Designer)

About the role

District is looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join its cross-functional team of experts. The role is hybrid, combining on-site and remote or flexible work, and is based in Melbourne or Perth. You will join an existing close-knit team spread across major Australian capital cities, working on products that give a voice to communities and help tailor policies to their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with users to improve products through real user research
• Run and run workshops for requirements gathering and user research, such as card sorting
• Research, wireframe and prototype user-centred solutions
• Develop detailed wireframes and prototypes that communicate interaction and design ideas
• Build information architecture that meets the needs of stakeholders and customers

Required profile

• Excellent survey writing and workshop facilitation skills
• Collaborative, receptive to feedback and interested in mentorship
• A portfolio or case studies of previous work; experiments welcome
