Graphic Designer

About the role

Accent Group, one of Australia and New Zealand's largest retail groups, is looking for a Graphic Designer to join The Agency within the group. This is a hands-on creative role with a leadership focus, working across brand, campaign, retail, print and digital, and supporting and mentoring a team of designers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver creative concepts and campaigns across print, digital, retail, social and advertising.
• Manage creative briefs from initial concept through to finished artwork, on time and to a high standard.
• Review and oversee outgoing artwork to ensure accuracy and consistency across each brand.
• Work with brand teams to develop and maintain brand identities, guidelines, templates and visual assets.
• Create retail collateral such as window posters, catalogues, POS, decals and strut cards.
• Design digital assets for email, websites, landing pages, social media, banners and digital advertising.
• Work with internal stakeholders to deliver creative that supports wider campaign and business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows and processes, and stay up to date with new design trends and technologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent, with proven experience in a retail, in-house or creative agency environment.
• A strong portfolio covering brand, print, digital and campaign design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator able to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Comfortable giving creative direction, feedback and mentoring to other designers.
• Proactive, collaborative, commercially minded and able to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Advanced layout, typography and visual design skills.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Solid understanding of web, mobile and social platforms.
• Solid knowledge of print production and preparing artwork for print.
