About the role
Join AECOM as a Graduate Structural Engineer and develop technical engineering expertise while gaining project delivery experience on complex transport infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in structural assessment, analysis and design of bridges, marine structures, rail infrastructure and buildings.
- Support inspections, condition assessments, load ratings and rehabilitation studies.
- Prepare calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and design documentation.
- Participate in site inspections, construction support and engineering assurance reviews.
- Apply Australian Standards, client requirements and best‑practice principles.
- Support project managers with scheduling, cost tracking, progress reporting and risk management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across transport, civil, maritime, geotechnical, environmental and construction disciplines.
Required profile
- Final‑year student or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Strong interest in structural engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Availability for the 2027 Graduate Program (Feb–Aug 2027).
