Graduate Program – Mining Industry – 2-Year Rotations

About the role

The Thiess Graduate Program offers recent graduates a two‑year, structured pathway into the mining sector. Participants rotate through up to two 12‑month placements across coal and minerals projects in Australia, gaining hands‑on experience while being mentored by senior professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Complete on‑the‑job training and guided learning plans in various mining roles.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve operational challenges.
• Contribute to project delivery by applying analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Adapt to different site locations and project requirements as rotations progress.

Required profile

• Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 4.5 or higher.
• Demonstrated interest in the mining industry and willingness to relocate.
• Valid driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Australia.
