Graduate Insolvency Accountant – Melbourne

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic graduates or early‑career professionals to join our Insolvency team in Melbourne. You will work on a variety of insolvency and restructuring engagements, gaining hands‑on experience in accounting, advisory and corporate transaction support while progressing towards a CA or CPA qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of formal insolvency appointments such as liquidations, administrations and bankruptcies.
• Prepare statutory reports, correspondence and filings for regulatory bodies.
• Conduct investigations into company affairs, financial records and potential recoveries.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, employees, financiers, lawyers and government agencies.
• Support asset realisation, creditor distributions and claim adjudications.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Assist senior staff with stakeholder meetings, creditor communications and court processes.
• Analyse financial information, prepare summaries and recommend recovery actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Interest in advisory, insolvency or corporate finance.
• Studying towards or holding a CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Confident communicator and team player.
