Graduate Accountant

About the role

An opportunity exists for a motivated and detail‑oriented Graduate Accountant to join the Finance team at Toro. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Tax, you will support a wide range of accounting activities that ensure accuracy, compliance and effectiveness across Toro Australia’s legal entities. This role is ideal for a recent finance or accounting graduate seeking hands‑on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end and other journals for review and approval.
• Assist with end‑of‑month reports, reconciliations and material costing functions.
• Perform daily costing of new materials and support annual inventory revaluation.
• Provide backup for Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and vendor query resolution.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial performance and variance reports.
• Maintain monthly management profit and loss statements and cost centre reports.
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly projections.
• Support internal and external audit requests and undertake other accounting duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Well‑developed numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team.
