Global Forwarding Agent – Ocean Import

About the role

As a Global Forwarding Agent for Ocean Import, you will be the primary contact for customers, managing the entire shipment lifecycle of their international freight. You will work closely with customers from the start of the shipment process, ensuring smooth operations and swift problem resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational excellence by understanding international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology from purchase order issuance to cargo delivery.
• Coordinate shipment tasks to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, pre‑alerts, governmental filings, delivery execution, and invoicing.
• Collaborate with international team members and third‑party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service, and creative problem resolution.
• Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers and participate in customer business reviews.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of global forwarding experience.
• Strong customer‑service focus with excellent communication, prioritization, and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Critical‑thinking, flexibility, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
