Global Forwarding Agent - Air Import

About the role

C.H. Robinson, one of the world's largest logistics platforms, is looking for a Global Forwarding Agent. You will be your customers' primary contact, managing and operating the shipment lifecycle of their global freight. The role suits someone detail-oriented, service-savvy and a problem-solver who thrives in a fast environment and finds swift resolutions to transportation and documentation issues.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational excellence by understanding the processes, documentation and terminology of international shipping from purchase order to cargo delivery, and adapting processes to solve internal and external challenges
• Coordinate shipment tasks to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, governmental filings, delivery execution and invoicing
• Collaborate with international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution
• Build relationships with customers, respond promptly and follow up on issue resolution
• Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers and take part in customer business reviews

Required profile

• High school degree or GED equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Global Forwarding experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (preferred)
• Excellent communication, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
• Strong customer service, follow-up and client-focused approach
• Critical thinking, flexibility and problem-solving
• High level of attention to detail
