Global Benefits Manager (12 Months Fixed Term)

About the role

Canva is looking for a Global Benefits Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. The role takes ownership of the global benefits portfolio, managing established programs, delivering planned improvements and making practical decisions that balance cost, local needs and the employee experience. The role is based in Sydney with a hybrid way of working.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day delivery of the global benefits portfolio, working with regional teams to resolve issues and support local needs.
• Manage brokers and providers, negotiate renewals and track budgets, balancing value for money with a good benefits experience.
• Deliver planned benefit launches and changes across countries, coordinating timelines, approvals, local requirements and communications.
• Use benchmarking, costs, feedback and usage data to recommend program improvements and where to invest.
• Work closely with Finance, Legal, Payroll and People teams, keeping responsibilities clear and building local benefits knowledge.
• Keep policies, communications and processes clear and up to date, simplifying administration and helping employees use their benefits.
• Support broader reward partnering where needed, including compensation benchmarking and advice on offers and reward decisions.

Required profile

• Solid experience managing benefits across multiple countries, including budgets, broker relationships and renewal negotiations.
• Able to manage several projects at once, make thoughtful choices about priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Confident using data and feedback to build recommendations, balancing people needs with commercial considerations.
• Cares about the wider people experience and enjoys exploring benefits that support wellbeing, belonging and life outside work.
• Communicates clearly and builds strong relationships across teams and regions.
