Permanent Recruitment Consultant - Defence & Engineering

About the role

Kinexus has helped Australia's Defence, National Security and Federal Government sectors find talent for over 25 years. It is recruiting a permanent Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its Defence and Engineering team, which manages long-standing client portfolios. You will start with established clients and active job flow, then carve out your own specialist market, client base or discipline focus.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established permanent recruitment desk in the Defence, Engineering and Technical sectors
• Build relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities
• Generate revenue through business development and account growth
• Partner with hiring managers to deliver recruitment solutions across specialist technical disciplines
• Build and maintain talent pipelines in Defence, Engineering and Technical markets
• Develop trusted adviser relationships with clients and candidates
• Negotiate terms of business and manage end-to-end recruitment processes
• Expand existing accounts and increase market share
• Represent Kinexus at industry events, networking activities and client engagements

Required profile

• Established recruiter with a strong track record of success
• 5+ years' recruitment experience, ideally in Defence, Engineering, Infrastructure or Technical recruitment
• Demonstrated success managing and growing a profitable permanent recruitment desk
• Experience developing long-term client relationships and repeat business
• Defence industry knowledge or experience with technical and engineering talent markets (highly regarded)
