GIS Production Engineer

About the role

Leidos is seeking a GIS Production Engineer to join its high‑performing geospatial delivery team in Canberra. You will work in a secure, mission‑critical environment, producing and maintaining enterprise GIS data and products.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, maintain, update and validate geospatial datasets according to standards and schedules.
• Support end‑to‑end GIS production workflows, including data ingestion, processing, quality assurance and release.
• Apply spatial analysis and geoprocessing techniques to generate accurate GIS products.
• Develop and maintain automated or semi‑automated production processes using scripting and GIS tools.
• Perform quality assurance, resolve routine issues and escalate complex problems as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in GIS production or geospatial data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of GIS platforms and tools such as the Esri ArcGIS suite.
• Experience with spatial data formats, coordinate systems, geodatabases and metadata standards.
• Understanding of geospatial data quality, validation and production workflows.
• Australian citizenship with an active TSPV clearance and ability to obtain DISA clearance.
