Generation Technician

About the role

Redfield Resources is seeking a Generation Technician to join its Perth team on a long‑term, temp‑to‑perm basis. You will be responsible for maintaining and servicing high‑voltage and high‑duty diesel generators used across our mining operations. This is a stable, full‑time position offering a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel generators (HV and HD).
• Diagnose and resolve engine faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conduct mechanical testing and fault‑finding procedures on generator systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.
• Support on‑site teams with generator start‑up, shutdown, and emergency response.

Required profile

• Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Proven experience in diesel generator maintenance and engine repair.
• Valid WA driver’s licence (manual); HR licence is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously in a mining environment.
• Willingness to undergo regular D&A medical assessments.
