Generalist Teacher – Middle School (Years 7‑8)

About the role

This 36‑month fixed‑term, full‑time position starts in Term 3, 2026 at Kalumburu Remote Community School, the most northerly Aboriginal community in Western Australia. The role focuses on teaching Literacy and Numeracy to the Middle School cohort (Years 7‑8) and preparing students for the VET pathway in later years.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Literacy and Numeracy programmes for Years 7‑8.
• Create engaging, culturally responsive learning experiences.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the transition to senior secondary pathways.
• Participate in school and community events, including trips to local natural attractions.
