General Practitioner – Park Grove Medical Centre & Burnie Urgent Care

About the role

Park Grove Medical Centre and the Burnie Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, part of the GP-led Health Hub Group, are looking for GPs to join a brand-new, rapidly growing site in the Burnie Health Hub on Tasmania's North West Coast. The role is general practice with the option of optional urgent care sessions, and full-time and part-time arrangements are available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general practice for patients of all ages, including chronic disease management, care plans and health assessments, supported by a nursing team
• Optionally run urgent care sessions for non-life-threatening presentations such as minor injuries, sprains, simple fractures, lacerations, burns and acute infections
• Shape services at a new site with diagnostics on site, and take advantage of uncapped billing opportunities

Required profile

• Primary medical qualification and current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Experience working in general practice
• Eligibility for a Medicare provider number at this location
• Fellowship (FRACGP and/or FACRRM) or vocational registration is strongly welcomed but not essential; non-VR doctors and those working towards Fellowship are encouraged to apply
• Urgent care, emergency or procedural experience is welcome but not essential
• A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care and a collaborative approach

What we offer

• Minimum earnings guarantee of $150,000 per annum, with uncapped billings conservatively estimated at $400,000+ per year
