General Manager Finance - Supply Chain

About the role

Pact Group, which works across packaging, reuse, recycling and contract manufacturing to support the circular economy, is looking for an accomplished commercial finance leader to report to the EGM Supply Chain. As the primary strategic finance partner to the Supply Chain Leadership Team, you will bring a financial and commercial lens to strategy, performance and key business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused financial advice, analysis and constructive challenge to support sound decision-making.
• Monitor financial and operational performance through KPIs, supply chain metrics and budget targets.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop cost-to-serve analysis and reporting to improve visibility of supply chain costs.
• Deliver recurring and ad hoc analysis on profitability, pricing, asset utilisation, labour productivity, products, customers and services.
• Support planning, budgeting and forecasting with a supply chain perspective.
• Contribute to commercial negotiations, business projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team and champion compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive commercial finance and financial management experience in a fast-moving business.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and working across cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading and developing finance professionals.
• A track record of process improvement and operational excellence.
• M&A experience, including integrations and separations.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, commerce or business; CPA or CA qualification; postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA are highly regarded.
