General Manager – Advanced Manufacturing

About the role

This senior position leads an advanced manufacturing facility in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, reporting directly to the Managing Director with full P&L responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Own P&L, budgets, revenue, EBITDA and operational KPIs for a multi‑department operation.
• Transform a traditional workshop into a structured, scalable production environment, maximising CNC utilisation and profitability.
• Drive commercial growth across precision engineering, defence, aerospace, automotive and specialist sectors.
• Optimise ERP, inventory, distribution and introduce automation, robotics and AI technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ leadership experience in CNC machining or metal fabrication.
• Proven full P&L accountability and experience managing manufacturing KPIs.
• Strong technical knowledge of precision CNC machining, robotics and quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100D).
• Ability to lead people, implement change and build an accountable operational culture.
