About the role
This position is with a well‑established Australian apparel brand based in Mascot. The Garment Technician will ensure that garments meet rigorous Australian and international standards, focusing on precision, fit and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed garment tech packs and specification documents.
- Create and manage measurement reference pages and grading specifications.
- Review, comment on and approve development, pre‑production and shipment samples.
- Liaise with factories and offshore QC teams to resolve fit, measurement and construction issues.
- Anticipate and troubleshoot potential quality, workmanship and fabrication concerns.
- Maintain strict quality assurance standards and reduce production issues.
Required profile
- 3–5+ years’ experience as a Garment Technician or Patternmaker in the apparel industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric performance and grading rules.
- Experience creating comprehensive tech packs and managing QA approvals.
- Solid understanding of the manufacturing process, including offshore production.
