Gantry Crane Operator - Olympic Dam Shutdown

About the role

A client of RED Appointments is looking for experienced Gantry Crane Operators for a shutdown at Olympic Dam from 06 November to 17 November. This is a hands-on role supporting critical shutdown maintenance activities, operating gantry cranes safely and efficiently alongside experienced maintenance teams on one of Australia's largest mining operations. The position is offered on a FIFO basis with camp accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Support shutdown maintenance activities during the shutdown period.
• Operate gantry cranes safely and efficiently.
• Ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.

Required profile

• Reliable and experienced Gantry Crane Operator with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.
• Previous shutdown, mining, maintenance, construction or industrial experience is advantageous.
• Ability to complete a Pre-Employment Medical (PEM) before starting.
• Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Previous gantry crane operating experience.
• Current CB High Risk Work Licence or TLILIC0016 licence to operate a bridge and gantry crane.
• Construction induction white card.
• Current Working at Heights and confined space certifications.
