Full‑Stack Web & App Developer

About the role

Bigwig Advertising & Digital is seeking a capable Full‑Stack Web & App Developer to join its Adelaide‑based digital team. You will work closely with the Lead Developer and Digital Director on new builds and ongoing client projects, starting with website development and expanding into app and integration work.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom WordPress websites, avoiding page‑builder only solutions.
• Develop front‑end and back‑end functionality using PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Provide support, bug fixes and production issue resolution for active client sites.
• Assist with React, TypeScript, API and integration tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with designers to turn approved designs into responsive, well‑built sites.
• Contribute to larger digital projects, web apps, PWAs and app‑related systems over time.
• Follow Git‑based workflows, test changes before release, and document work clearly.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools responsibly where appropriate.

Required profile

• Solid experience developing custom WordPress sites.
• Strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Ability to work with custom themes and plugin‑based functionality.
• Experience in responsive design and troubleshooting web applications.
• Working knowledge of Git and attention to detail.
• Good communication, problem‑solving skills and a maintainable coding approach.
• Willingness to learn new tools, frameworks and to work as part of a small team.
