Full-Time Nanny – Hamilton, QLD
Employeur non precise · Hamilton
Job description
About the role
A warm family in Hamilton, Queensland, is looking for a highly experienced, carefully vetted and nurturing nanny to care for its two young daughters (aged 2 and 4 months). The mum will be actively involved in the girls' care, often caring for one child while the nanny cares for the other. The family plans to move to Samford Valley in February 2027 while the Hamilton home is being renovated, so the nanny must be comfortable travelling there.
Pay is $35-$50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, and the contract is long term with a genuine opportunity to become a valued part of the family. A Saturday shift is available to start immediately if it suits the nanny's schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Provide warm, attentive care for both girls and support their age-appropriate learning through educational play, reading, sensory activities and creative experiences.
- Plan and attend outings such as gymnastics and sensory classes, and manage daily routines including meals, naps, playtime and outings.
- Prepare and cook meals for the children and, when required, the wider family.
- Support the evening routine, including dinner, bath time, winding down and bedtime assistance.
- Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating environment and complete light household duties.
- Help with grocery shopping and occasional errands, and assist with the family's four-year-old German Shepherd by feeding or walking him on an ad hoc basis.
- Keep Mum informed throughout the day and accompany the family on state, interstate and overseas holidays.
Required profile
- Relevant childcare qualifications; 5+ years of professional nannying experience with babies and young children is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and educational play.
- Excellent references and a thorough professional background.
- Own car and full driver's licence; a family car can be provided when needed.
- Comfortable travelling to Samford Valley between February 2027 and February 2028.
Required skills
- Knowledge of early childhood development and ability to plan age-appropriate activities.
- French language skills would be highly regarded.
- Non-smoking.
