Full-Stack Software Engineer (React, .NET, Azure)

About the role

Camp Australia, the nation's leading provider of Outside School Hours Care, is hiring a full-time Software Engineer in Melbourne. This is a hands-on, full-stack role working across React, Flutter.NET (C#) and Azure, within a microservices-based, event-driven architecture in a cloud-native environment. The team uses AI agents in its software development process and is looking for engineers who can help ensure AI-generated solutions meet the same high standards as hand-built ones.

Required profile

• Has built and run serious applications and understands what a well-architected solution looks like: clear boundaries, sound data models, secure and observable systems, and maintainable, testable code.
• Can spot when a design or implementation is not right and explain why.
• Excited by AI-enabled development and interested in managing context across large codebases, building or configuring AI agents, and using guardrails, testing and evaluation frameworks to keep AI outputs to quality standards.
• Passion for clean code, continuous improvement and lean delivery; collaborative and takes ownership from ideation to deployment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in React and .NET (C#) for full-stack development.
• Experience with Azure, Azure SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools is highly regarded.
