Full Stack Software Developer – Defence Projects

About the role

C4i Solutions is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join a team delivering mission‑critical technology solutions for Australian Defence capability. The role will start with front‑end development of a React‑based UI/UX for data ingestion, import, discovery and export, and will evolve to include data analysis capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable full‑stack applications supporting Defence and Government projects.
• Create intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React and modern front‑end technologies.
• Collaborate with architects, UX designers, engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into software solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and back‑end services for data processing and system interoperability.
• Process and transform structured data using XML, JSON, XSLT and JSLT.
• Implement functionality for data ingestion, import, discovery, analysis and export across complex information sets.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and continuous integration to ensure high‑quality code.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including designs, API specs and user guides.
• Investigate and resolve software defects and performance issues.

Required profile

• Australian citizen with a minimum AGSVA NV1 security clearance (NV2 preferred).
• Proven experience building web front‑ends with the React framework.
• Strong JavaScript development skills for front‑end work.
• Familiarity with XML and JSON data formats and related transformation languages.
