Front Office Manager

About the role

Oaks Cairns Hotel is looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Front Office Manager to lead the Front Office team on a full-time basis. The manager welcomes guests, leads the team and drives exceptional customer experiences. The position is based at Oaks Cairns Hotel, 59/63 Esplanade, Cairns City, Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding guest welcome and maintain front office and reception operational standards
• Meet arriving guests and customers and ensure they are settled in their rooms
• Communicate professionally and accurately with guests to assist them and make bookings
• Support the team in delivering excellent guest experiences
• Ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time
• Resolve and respond to guest complaints promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate guest accounts and assist with daily reporting
• Manage the team roster to meet budgets
• Support the Hotel Manager with recruitment

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience at a supervisor level in a hotel or resort environment
• Exceptional people management skills, able to lead and motivate a diverse team
• Understanding of trust accounting
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand
