Front Desk Receptionist - Punthill Narrabundah

About the role

Punthill Narrabundah is an apartment-style hotel in Canberra's Inner South, with 86 rooms, a pantry and laundry facilities, and direct access to the hotel manager. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be part of a small team delivering a high level of guest service at every touchpoint, from check-in and check-out to during the stay. The role is permanent and part-time, based in the Regional ACT.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high level of guest service at all touchpoints (check-in, check-out, during the stay)
• Solve complaints and problems creatively
• Act as a true host and local connection, giving guests advice and recommendations on points of interest
• Respond to emergency situations safely and professionally
• Identify opportunities to increase returning and new guests
• Support the Hotel Manager in keeping the hotel to Veri-Best standards

Required profile

• Adaptable, enjoys variety and has an ownership mindset
• Experience in a customer service role
• Ability to work as a team and independently
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays on rotation (no overnight shifts required)
• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain it before starting)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or ability to obtain it before starting)
