Freight Officer - Forklift Driver

About the role

Centurion, a logistics company founded in 1971 with 34 branches across Australia, is hiring a Freight Officer who operates a forklift in its Northern Territory yard. The role is permanent and full-time, with a Monday to Friday roster and morning shifts from 7am to 3pm, plus overtime as required. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift (2.5T, 5T, 16T)
• Load, unload and move freight throughout the yard
• Handle general, bulky, palletised and oversize freight (training provided)
• Use straps and chains to restrain loads and secure freight (training provided)
• Work with RF scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance

Required profile

• Current forklift licence
• Ability to maximise trailer utilisation
• Previous experience in a fast-paced operational environment
• High attention to detail, reliable and punctual
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Committed, safety-focused and adheres to all safety policies and procedures
