About the role

A nationally owned and operated steel fabrication company, which produces commercial and residential steel building products such as flashings, purlins and rainwater goods, is looking to add licensed forklift operators to its Kewdale team. The work involves loading and restraining steel freight for the runs departing each day; the freight is light gauge steel that can be oversize, so the role suits safety-conscious people comfortable working at a steady pace.

Key responsibilities

• Load and restrain steel freight for the runs departing each day
• Handle light gauge steel that can be oversize
• Work autonomously in the yard, turning up and getting the work done

Required profile

• Full Australian work rights
• Current LO/LF license
• Previous understanding of load restraint requirements (an ex-driver looking to stay in the yard is mentioned)
• Ability to understand work instructions and retain information
• Positive contribution to team culture
