Forklift Driver

About the role

JBS Australia is looking for a full-time Forklift Driver based in Longford, Tasmania. The role involves operating forklifts to move, load and unload materials efficiently while keeping a safe working environment. Swift & Company Trade Group, the international trading division of JBS, supplies protein products such as beef, sheep, goat, pork, poultry and game meats, as well as meat and bone meal and tallow.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Manually hand, stake and unstack cantons as and where required.
• Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas.
• Ensure accurate placement and stacking of products.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and report any issues.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Current forklift licence (LF).
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time management skills.
