Food & Beverage Duty Manager

About the role

voco Gold Coast is looking for a Food & Beverage Duty Manager to lead its restaurant, bar, conferencing and events operations. The role works closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team to deliver exceptional service, drive team engagement and keep daily operations running smoothly across several outlets. It is a full-time salaried position on a rotating roster covering breakfast, mid and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support Food & Beverage operations across restaurant, bar, room service, conferences and events
• Maintain a consistently high level of guest service and satisfaction
• Motivate, coach and develop team members to achieve operational excellence
• Manage daily service periods and keep venue operations smooth
• Monitor labour costs, productivity and service standards
• Assist with training, onboarding and performance development
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
• Work with other hotel departments to improve the guest experience

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality, food and beverage, hotels or restaurants
• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to stay calm and professional in a busy environment
• A hands-on approach with a passion for customer service
• Flexible availability for rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

Required skills

• Experience with POS systems and hotel operations is highly regarded
