Food & Beverage Attendant - Casual

About the role

ibis Mackay, a hotel beside Mackay Airport in North Queensland, is looking for casual Food & Beverage Attendants to join its team at TurBARlence Tavern, covering in-room dining and conferencing. The role suits someone who enjoys serving food and creating memorable experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage to all guests
• Ensure guest satisfaction and brand standards are maintained
• Enter dockets correctly and close them off in the POS system
• Liaise with the kitchen to maintain high food quality and visual appeal
• Maintain hygienic food service techniques at all times
• Keep the bar and restaurant areas clean and neat, following opening, closing and daily procedures
• Assist with stock control and room set-ups

Required profile

• Service-focused personality and a passion for food and beverage
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Current work rights in Australia
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays

Required skills

• Barista skills or experience
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, able to obtain
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work as part of a team
