Food and Beverage Host - Breakfast and Dinner

About the role

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is looking for a Host to join its Food & Beverage team at Atelier, supporting breakfast and dinner services. The role delivers personalised, luxury-standard service and welcomes and seats guests.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests warmly, manage reservations and accommodate special requests
• Present menus, recommend food and beverage selections and identify upselling opportunities
• Take accurate orders, coordinate with kitchen and service teams and deliver food and drinks promptly
• Maintain product knowledge of menus, wine lists, allergens and dietary requirements
• Keep your section's service stations clean, organised and fully stocked
• Process orders and payments accurately, following cash-handling procedures
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and brand compliance
• Collaborate with colleagues, take part in training and undertake extra duties as required

Required profile

• Previous F&B or hospitality experience is highly regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with good food and beverage knowledge and a willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
