Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter

About the role

Karlayura Personnel is recruiting a skilled Mechanical Fitter for an ongoing 2:2 roster. You will carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and servicing across site equipment, keeping machinery safe, reliable and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown mechanical maintenance
• Inspect, repair and service mining equipment
• Fault-find and diagnose mechanical issues
• Complete mechanical installations, repairs and component change-outs
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Work safely and efficiently in line with site procedures
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and housekeeping
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and site teams

Required profile

• Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Previous experience in a mining or fixed plant environment
• Experience working with fixed plant and heavy equipment
• Relevant mining tickets and site experience highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
