Fitters (General) - Heavy Vehicle Parts

About the role

Just Automotive Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of its client, Hi-Torque Truck Spares (Aust) Pty Ltd, a private company in the heavy vehicle parts and service industry focused on trucks and trailers. Two full-time Fitters General positions are available in NSW, where candidates maintain diesel equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Workshop repairs and maintenance, fault finding and servicing of diesel and petrol engines, fuel systems, steering, transmissions (hydrostatic, powershift and manual), brake systems, hydraulic valves and cylinders, electrical starting, charging and accessories, and service and diagnostic repairs.
• Liaise with the spare parts team to identify parts needed for repairs and complete them within reasonable time frames.
• Prepare new machines for delivery and inspect them.
• Process workshop service and repair documentation daily.
• Work safely using the provided PPE and comply with current Occupational Safety and Health legislation.
• Support customer satisfaction, safety and quality, and provide cross-functional support.

Required profile

• Good technical background experience.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; customer focused.
• Self-motivated, hard-working and practical; warm personality and open-minded.
• Experience in a small team is an advantage.

What we offer

• Salary of A$85,000 to A$107,000 per annum depending on experience.
