About the role

Anaconda, an Australian outdoor retailer with over 75 stores, is hiring a Fishing Sales Assistant in Grafton. As the go-to expert for fishing, you will help customers choose the right rods, reels, lures and accessories, give advice on local fishing spots and techniques, and keep the fishing department well stocked and attractive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting rods, reels, lures, accessories and more
• Give expert advice on local fishing spots, techniques and tackle options
• Maintain merchandise and keep the fishing department fully stocked and visually appealing
• Stay up to date with the latest fishing trends, gear and technology
• Deliver outstanding customer service

Required profile

• Passion for fishing, whether freshwater, saltwater or sport fishing
• Previous experience in stock, customer service and sales in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, friendly and approachable
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge with customers and colleagues
• Team player who contributes to a positive store environment
• Understanding of the local consumer market, products and growth
