Fire Suppression Assembly Technician

About the role

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is looking for a motivated Fire Suppression Assembly Technician to join its Virginia, QLD team. The role involves manufacturing and assembling fire suppression systems in a fast‑paced environment, supporting customer safety and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and complete assembly orders according to work orders.
• Assemble, test, and pack fire suppression systems and components.
• Pick and pack installation kits to meet customer requirements.
• Close out work orders in the ERP system and monitor inventory levels.
• Safely operate forklifts, vacuum lifting devices and other manual handling equipment.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or warehouse environments.
• Current Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good manual dexterity, physical fitness and a focus on health & safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
