Junior Laser Operator – Night Shift

About the role

This permanent position is for a Junior Laser Operator on the night shift at an established metal manufacturing business. After approximately two months of day‑shift training, you will move to permanent night‑shift hours, working alongside an experienced supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with operating CNC laser cutting machinery and loading/unloading sheet‑metal materials.
• Check completed parts for quality and accuracy and perform basic machine and production checks.
• Operate a forklift to move materials around the facility and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Follow production schedules, job requirements and work closely with the Night Shift Supervisor and wider team.

Required profile

• Current forklift licence (essential).
• Background in manufacturing, factory work, steel or sheet‑metal environments.
• Reliability and comfort with permanent night‑shift hours.
• Strong safety focus, willingness to learn and a positive team attitude.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Basic CNC laser cutting or machine operation knowledge.
• Familiarity with different metals and sheet‑metal handling.
