Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

The company is a growing mining organisation seeking a Finance Planning & Analysis Manager to support operational and strategic decision‑making across its Australian assets. Reporting to the CFO, the role will own budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis while partnering with operational, technical and corporate teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models for production, operating costs and capital expenditure.
• Deliver monthly management reporting, variance analysis and business performance insights.
• Support investment evaluations, project assessments and capital allocation decisions.
• Partner with operational and technical teams to align financial forecasts with mine plans.
• Prepare materials for executive leadership, board reporting and strategic planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting accuracy and business processes.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in mining, resources or a related heavy‑industry environment.
• Strong background in FP&A, commercial finance or business analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and operational stakeholders.
