Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations across Industrial Demolition Services and its related businesses, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting and clear financial insight for directors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the finance function, prepare monthly reports, complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and drive the month‑end process.
• Prepare and maintain cash‑flow forecasts, assist with annual budgets and monitor performance against budgets.
• Oversee BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation and coordinate tax returns and external audits.
• Lead the finance team, allocate responsibilities, review work quality and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review and improve finance processes, ensure accurate use of JobPac and document key procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce with CA or CPA accreditation.
• Significant experience in accounting or financial management, including preparation of accounts, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Strong understanding of month‑end accounting, balance‑sheet reconciliations and Australian taxation compliance.
• Proven ability to manage a finance team and communicate confidently with directors and senior stakeholders.
