Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller reports directly to the General Manager and is a key member of the hotel’s leadership team. You will oversee the hotel’s financial performance, analyse key performance indicators and advise department leaders on meeting and exceeding financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, planning and forecasting for the hotel, including analysis and reporting of monthly and annual results.
• Prepare and present monthly financial analysis, forecasts and profit & loss statements.
• Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
• Provide training to hotel leaders and the finance team to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
• Deliver accurate, timely financial reports to the General Manager, Accor and hotel owners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in hotel financial processes and strategic thinking.
• Significant experience with hotel systems such as Opera, Micros, Sun, PurchasePlus, Ready Workforce, Currency Select and online banking portals.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide high‑level analytical commentary.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available).
