Financial Controller – Build a Scalable Finance Function

About the role

Contour is seeking a Financial Controller to own and transform its finance function as the company scales nationally. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead month‑end close, audit readiness, cashflow management and the automation of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end and year‑end close across all entities, shortening cycles and delivering insights for senior leadership.
• Lead audit preparation, intercompany reconciliations and group eliminations to keep the business audit‑ready year‑round.
• Manage cashflow forecasts, working capital, and banking relationships, raising financial risks early with mitigation options.
• Drive multi‑entity integration, chart‑of‑accounts alignment, system migrations and finance readiness for new or restructured entities.
• Redesign finance processes with automation and AI, build self‑serve dashboards, and assess ERP/BI investments.

Required profile

• CA or CPA (or equivalent) with 7+ years in financial control or senior finance, including at least 2 years as a controller.
• Proven experience in a high‑growth, multi‑site or service scale‑up, with a track record of automating or rebuilding finance processes.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools in finance and strong budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling skills.
• High ownership, ability to make sound decisions with imperfect information, and experience leading finance teams.
