Financial Accountant

About the role

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join its National Accounting Team in Parramatta. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will provide critical financial accounting support, partner with operational stakeholders, and deliver accurate reporting in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete month‑end financial processing and end‑to‑end reporting for designated business units.
• Prepare monthly management reports, external disclosures, and forecasts.
• Maintain fixed assets, banking, leases, and hierarchy data.
• Reconcile balance sheets, investigate variances, and ensure trial balance integrity for tax and statutory reporting.
• Support capital expenditure processes, acquisition integrations, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting and commercial experience with CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of Australian and International Accounting Standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP knowledge.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with workflow systems.
