Finance Officer – Public Sector

About the role

The Finance Officer will deliver high‑quality financial services, advice and support to enable effective financial management within the Attorney General's Department. This role focuses on reporting, reconciliation, accounts payable and the day‑to‑day finance operations of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality financial services and advice to support the department’s financial management.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Perform account reconciliations and manage accounts payable processes.
• Support day‑to‑day finance operations, budgeting and financial planning activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a government or public‑sector environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver accurate financial information.
• Strong organisational and analytical capabilities.

• Remuneration package between $91,503 and $104,322 per annum (including base salary $77,344‑$88,179).
