Finance Manager, Technology Finance - Strategic Investment

About the role

CommBank is looking for a Finance Manager within its Technology Finance team, based in the Sydney CBD area. Technology Finance provides financial control, reporting and planning services to the Technology division, which holds one of Australia's largest technology portfolios. You will partner with senior Technology and Finance leaders to shape strategic investment decisions, lead forecasting and capital investment insights, and develop and mentor a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver portfolio reporting and analyse financial performance, forecasts and emerging risks for Technology leadership and Group Finance.
• Support strategic investment and operational decisions through financial modelling, commercial analysis and actionable insights.
• Provide subject matter expertise on investment capitalisation and detailed capital expenditure forecasting.
• Drive forecast accuracy and help optimise project performance across the Technology portfolio.
• Identify, manage and escalate risks while maintaining strong financial control practices.
• Build trusted relationships across Technology, Finance and Group stakeholders.
• Lead process simplification and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Required profile

• CA, CPA, CIMA or CFA qualification.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, reporting and investment analysis.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic outcomes.
• Proactive risk mindset and commitment to strong governance and controls.
