Finance Manager - Retail

About the role

Join CBRE as a Finance Manager overseeing a major retail property portfolio in Melbourne. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to influence commercial outcomes and provide financial insight for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee timely, accurate monthly management accounts.
• Review and approve journal entries, manage operational and financial statements.
• Handle outgoings reconciliations, budgets and financial wash‑ups.
• Calculate Percentage Rent, Extended Trade, Occupancy Capping and Direct Recharges, including major tenant calculations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CPA, CA or equivalent qualification with substantial retail property accounting experience.
• Progressive supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, confident engaging senior management and auditors.

Required skills

• Advanced accounting systems knowledge (MRI, Yardi preferred).
• Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting.
