Director of Research & Analysis, Corporate

About the role

This senior position leads corporate banking research and analysis, supporting business growth through deep client and industry insight, high‑quality credit analysis and risk assessment. The role works closely with Relationship Managers, Product Partners and Risk teams to structure complex transactions and deliver tailored solutions while maintaining the bank’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a portfolio of large corporate clients, assessing credit risk and executing deal structures.
• Conduct industry research, identify high‑risk or deteriorating customers and take proactive mitigation actions.
• Exercise delegated Credit Approval Authority and mentor junior analysts and associates.
• Collaborate with relationship, product and risk teams in credit workshops to determine risk appetite and deal structures.

Required profile

• Strong credit skills with ability to structure complex financing arrangements and present detailed risk assessments.
• Demonstrated financial analysis capability beyond traditional accounting analysis.
• Proven end‑to‑end deal execution across diverse credit transactions.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
