Finance Advisory Manager - CFO Advisory

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Manager in its CFO Advisory team in Sydney. The team advises clients on financial management and strategy, helping them optimise financial performance and decision-making. As a manager, you will transform finance functions by solving complex problems while balancing commercial insight and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Help move finance from transaction processing to data-led insights for trusted decision making
• Take part in process modernisation, activity analysis, risk and control design, and continuous monitoring
• Support finance system implementation: business cases, chart of accounts design, program management and control design/assurance
• Support cost optimisation initiatives, including operating models and commercial benefits for modernisation programs
• Contribute to transactional change, including pre- and post-deal support on governance, accounting, integration and synergy realisation

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, external audit or a related field
• Bachelor or equivalent degree and CA qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience leading project teams to deliver finance projects or internal improvement activities
• Experience in risk and controls, process optimisation, financial reporting, technical accounting, management accounting or budgeting

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide meaningful insights to clients
• Technical accounting proficiency with experience applying accounting standards
• Attention to detail for high-quality reports and presentations
