Field Supervisor - Crane Service

About the role

Konecranes is looking for an experienced Field Supervisor for its Port Solutions team to lead and support crane service operations across key customer sites in Sydney, NSW. It is a hands-on technical leadership role covering detailed crane inspections, complex repairs and modernisations, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on a wide range of lifting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections across all crane makes and models
• Lead and support complex repairs, installations and modernisation work
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults on non-standard equipment
• Deliver emergency breakdown responses and problem-solving solutions
• Plan, quote and recommend major repairs and upgrades
• Manage and support larger field service projects
• Supervise, mentor and support technicians on site
• Ensure accurate reporting, safety reviews and job documentation
• Work closely with customers, planners and internal support teams

Required profile

• Electrical licence or mechanical trade qualification (essential)
• Strong crane, heavy equipment or industrial service experience
• Current and valid driver licence
• Working at heights competency
• Experience leading or supervising small teams on projects
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills, able to work independently

Required skills

• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket preferred
• Strong understanding of relevant Australian/NZ standards
• Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
• Awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
