Field Service Technician – Power Generation (Mechanical)

About the role

As a Field Service Technician – Power Generation, you will be based in Karratha and travel across regional Western Australia to service, maintain and repair power generation equipment. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will develop expertise in advanced power generation technology while delivering reliable solutions for customers in defence, mining, data centres and other critical industries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding on power generation equipment in the field.
• Provide technical support to customers across regional sites.
• Use remote engine monitoring systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow safe work practices.
• Participate in an on‑call roster, responding to breakdowns and service requests.

Required profile

• Mechanical trade qualification.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Proven computer literacy.
• Strong fault‑finding, problem‑solving and diagnostic capability.
• High organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage regional travel.
