Field Engineer – SMP/Pre-Assembly

About the role

The Field Engineer will support construction superintendents in developing work scope packages and cost estimates for the pre‑assembly program, covering structural, piping and electrical support infrastructure elements on the Eva Copper Mine project in Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for coordination and resolution of all issues related to structural, piping and electrical support infrastructure execution in the pre‑assembly yard and field.
• Assist the Advanced Work Packaging team in developing detailed work packages and cost estimates.
• Plan and package work, manage material flow, verify quantities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct technical inspections, testing and coordinate subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Provide recommendations to ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards.

Required profile

• Experience in field engineering within construction, preferably on large‑scale EPC or mining projects.
• Knowledge of structural, piping and electrical support infrastructure.
• Ability to develop work scopes, cost estimates and packaging.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality control and technical inspection processes.
