Farm Hand / Stock Person - Sheep Enterprise, Kojonup

About the role

An established Great Southern sheep enterprise is looking for a Farm Hand (stock person) who can do more than just complete daily tasks. The role suits someone who wants to build a long-term career, take ownership and possibly grow into a future leadership position. The successful candidate works alongside an experienced Livestock Manager while learning the operation, with genuine opportunities to progress as the business expands. It is a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Day-to-day sheep management and livestock husbandry
• Livestock monitoring, animal health treatments and feeding
• Water checks and stock movements
• Support shearing, crutching and other seasonal livestock operations
• General property maintenance and farm duties
• Basic machinery and equipment operation
• Record keeping and livestock data collection
• Working independently across a well-established livestock property

Required profile

• Strong livestock background; sheep experience preferred, but cattle, dairy or intensive livestock experience also considered
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions
• Practical problem-solver with good initiative
• Looking for a long-term role with career progression and extra responsibility
• Current driver's licence required
